Analysis of two chosen songs

Next task connected with the previous survey was the musical analysis of two chosen songs. Students got precise instructions because this time the work was more specialised and demanded musical knowledge and experience. Students were advised by music teachers. Some introductions were also accompanied by some historical remarks and by some lines about the authors.

Lleida

Lleida students chose two songs,  one by group Lax´n´Busto and the other by Terápia de Shock. They provided us by lots of information not only about the songs themselves but also about the groups. They even made an interview with the group Terápia de Shock (the interview is included in another section).

Luhačovice

Students from Luhačovice present two different songs: Hradiště and Medvídek – one of them is a folk song about love, its pleasures and traps, the song was chosen in the survey by people of the age group +60,  the other is a pop-rock song with interesting lyrics full of metaphors about the topic of drugs, chosen by the respondents between 20 and 40.

Naples

Italian students chose a song by the group Aerosmith. They devoted themselves to the history and topic of the song  I don’t want to miss a thing and provided some information about the group.

Another song analysed by Italian students is the song “Napule”. The text and the meaning is highlithed by pictures and comments, it mentions famous personalities and wonderful places around Naples. A good job has been done and all teachers and students can daydream about the time they spent with Italian friends.
